The GMP Society was founded in 2025 as an international organization of Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) pharmaceutical professionals to bring together those working in pharmaceutical and healthcare product manufacturing; a critical area of healthcare.

GMPs are a complex and ever-expanding collection of rules, regulations, standards, interpretations, scientific thinking, and best practices.

The GMP Society is the first international society which aims to address all aspects of GMPs to provide clarity on the ever-growing list of regulations. We will primarily focus on the global similarities and differences between the major Regulatory Authorities and regulatory bodies like the Pharmaceutical Inspection Co-operation Scheme (PIC/S) with an eye on the potential requirements of new technologies and manufacturing processes.

The GMP Society is a member-led organization which will eventually elect its Board of Directors to define its technical and scientific focus.  Currently, the GMPsoc is overseen by an advisory board consisting of Gary Bird as acting President; Tim Sandle (Editor of GMP Review) as Director for publications, Dominic Parry as Director of Education, and at-large members Hedley Rees, Andy Martin, James Vesper, and Arvind Vijayabhaskar. The GMP Society is managed by Euromed Communications, a global leader in pharmaceutical and healthcare publishing.
